Afghan Refugee Assistance Program
The AFCC program aims to create economic opportunity for eligible Afghan refugees by providing training and technical assistance to establish high-quality family childcare businesses that will generate a source of income and economic self-sufficiency.
- Business workshops - Technical assistance with business plans and acquiring child care licenses - Assistance with Regulatory Permits and Fees - Required health and safety trainings - Financial assistance
-Afghans who have lived in the United States for less than 5 years - Possess humanitarian parole – arrived between July 31, 2021 and September 30, 2023, SIV, refugee, or asylee status
Microenterprise Program
The SFS Microenterprise Program aims to create economic opportunity for low-to-moderate income individuals residing in the City of San Diego. The program provides training and technical assistance with establishing or expanding businesses.
